Dr. Lam graduated MBBS from University of Sydney in 1998 and completed general surgical training in Sydney in 2005.
In 2006-2007, he spent 2 years of post fellowship training in hepatobiliary, pancreatic and transplant surgery. He worked as the Asian Surgical Association Clinical Fellow at Queen Mary Hospital in Hong Kong under the mentorship of Professor S.T. Fan and Professor C.M. Lo. This is a renowned center for liver cancer , live donor liver transplantation and laparoscopic surgery and I had the opportunity of working with the world leaders in liver, pancreas and bile duct cancer.
Dr. Lam’s surgical expertise is in surgical management of liver, pancreas and bile duct cancer aiming to provide the cure with resection or ablative therapy; and laparoscopic surgery of liver, gallbladder, pancreas and spleen. Dr. Lam returned to Sydney in 2008 as Senior Lecturer in Surgery at the University of Sydney. He has admitting rights to both the Westmead Public, Westmead Private Hospitals, Norwest Private Hospital and Sydney Adventist Hospital.
Research Interests:
- Dr. Lam has a strong research interest in both primary and secondary liver cancers.
- Dr. Lam is fluent in Cantonese.
